classic rock...in the style of the band "Boston"

Hello Folks,

As some of you may know, I had the distinct pleasure of playing with two of the members of the band "Boston" (Brad Delp and Barry Goudreau) in a band called "RTZ" (which is short for return to zero) from the mid eighties to the early nineties. My pals Tim Archibald (bass) and David Stefanelli (drums) were also in that band. We spent quite a few years in this project together writing, recording and, after securing a major label record deal, touring around the country. The band on tour also featured two wonderful backing vocalists who were Patty Barkas (whose name you may recognize from many of my CD's) and Mary Nikias.

A few years ago, the band released some material overseas from our archives. The response was very favorable to these foreign releases. There has been a lot of interest in making this music available in the US as well and until now this was not possible.  A few months ago the band got together and decided to let Briola Records release this material in the United States for the first time. I am very happy to be associated with this project and proud to have "RTZ" added to the roster of Briola Record's artists.

Won't you please come join, "RTZ" band members, Brad Delp, Barry Goudreau, David Stefanelli, Tim Archibald and myself for a "Meet and Greet" CD release party on Monday, November 28, 2005 from 8-11 PM at the Boston St. Cafe in Lynn. Please help us celebrate the release of "Lost In America" and "Found In America" from "RTZ" and Briola Records.

This event is free and features also a free buffet, courtesy of the Boston St. Cafe. Any and all displays of appreciation to the Boston St. Cafe staff by way of gratuity will be greatly appreciated. Their phone number is (781) 593-8882 for reservations.

The two new CD's will be on sale at the Boston St. Cafe at our party for $15 each or both for $25.

I hope to see you and enjoy your company as the band and I get an opportunity to socialize with you as we all listen to the new releases together. As always, Thanks for your support.

All the best Brian

We have a few new and very exciting developments on the horizon for Briola Records and I would very much like to tell you about this one.

Dara VanRemoortel, local children's songwriter and early childhood music specialist, will be releasing her first children's CD entitled "ECHO IN MY PLAYROOM"

The CD Release Party will be held on Sunday, November 6th from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at the Marblehead Community Center , 10 Humphrey St. Marblehead (781) 631-3350. This event is open to the public and free of charge, and will include live performances of a few songs on the CD.

"ECHO IN MY PLAYROOM" was produced and recorded by me here at Briola Studios and it has been an absolute joy for me to be involved so closely in working on this music with Dara. The outstanding talents of Kook Lawry on guitar and Paul Soares on drums are also featured on this CD. Kook and Paul will also be performing at the CD release party. We hope you can make it by.

A portion of the proceeds from the CD sales at the release party will be donated to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

Friday, June 17, CD release party at the Boston St. Cafe in
Lynn for John Warren. The CD is called "Sunspot On Simple Mind." Tim
Archibald, Kook Lawry, Tony DePietro and MaryBeth Maes all made outstanding musical
contributions to this body of work which John and I have been working on for
well over two years. John Warren's songs are heartfelt and well delivered and
are sure to be a great addition to any collection of music.

Hello Folks,

Thank you to all of you who came out last night to the Briola Records CD release party for Tim Barry's "Circle of Life" CD. It was a great night with great food, fun and friends coming together to offer their support for Tim Barry. I am extremely proud of the band's performance. Kook Lawry, Tony DePietro, Jamie Maes, Guy (the organ guy), Jon Waterman, Lenny Doyle, Dennis Tully, Terri O'soro, Gloria Pourier and Tim Barry all turned in excellent and heart felt performances that had the crowd riveted right from the start. I am also very proud and thankful that so many of you came out to show your support for local music. Very soon there will be more information on our website about Tim and his music.
All the best Brian
