With ``Songs for
Madeline,'' singer-songwriter-producer-band-leader and all-around North Shore
rock utility man Brian Maes strips it back to just his songs, his voice and a
grand piano on a little valentine of an album dedicated to his newborn daughter.
In eight short and sweet cuts, Maes shows that his melodic gifts, sweet lyrics and formidable keyboard chops need no further adornment than the grand acoustics of Memorial Hall in Melrose
